Diagnosis
Vertex smooth and shiny, with fairly dense setation but with parts behind posterior ocelli bare; occipital margin with a rounded edge; mesoscutum with coarse and dense pits, with a distinct median carina, and densely setose with strong setae, notauli not visible in posterior ½; scutellum smooth and shiny, with two different types of setae: medially with short setae pointing towards the middle of scutellum and posterolaterally with longer setae pointing backwards; costal cell bare; submarginal vein with three setae; first gastral tergite laterally with a small round reticulate spot; male antenna with 2-segmented clava; vertex and eyes not as densely hairy as in some other species of the group.
